GEE TV follows the Code of Ethics in the Appendix to the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, which includes the Norms of Journalistic Conduct of the Press Council of India and the Programme Code under the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995.
Our principles
Accuracy: we check facts before publishing and name our sources where we can.
Fairness: we seek the other side of a story and give people a chance to respond to allegations.
Independence: advertising and sponsorship never decide what we report. Paid or sponsored content is clearly labelled.
Privacy and dignity: we do not identify victims of sexual offences or minors in conflict with the law, and we avoid intrusion into private grief.
Responsibility: we do not publish content that threatens the sovereignty and integrity of India, incites violence, or promotes hatred against any community.
Corrections and complaints
If we get something wrong, we correct it openly. See our Grievance Redressal page to report an error or file a complaint.
